Booking info
Maitripa Centre can get very busy at times so we encourage you to book your event well in advance so that you can get the dates that you want and avoid disappointment. If you like you can make a tentative booking, but to secure your dates in our schedule we will need you to complete our booking form.
To confirm your booking you will need to pay an initial deposit. To maintain your booking with us we require that a second deposit be made 90 days prior to the commencement date of your event.
How much do you need to pay?
An initial $250 deposit is required to secure each booking. To maintain your booking a second $250 deposit for a half site booking, or $500 for a full site booking is required 90 days prior to the commencement date of your event. If you need to cancel your booking we can refund your deposit if another organisation subsequently confirms an equivalent site booking for the dates that will cover your cancellation. Otherwise all deposits are non-refundable.
Please note that if you wish to downgrade your booking from a full to half site, this can be done up to 90 days prior to your event start date. After that the minimum numbers policy will be applied to your full site booking unless a subsequent booking is made to cover the dates of your proposed booking downgrade.
Payment of the balance of your event invoice is required on the last day of your stay at Maitripa Centre. Your invoice will include all applicable event charges less your deposits paid. You can make your payment at Maitripa Centre by cheque, credit card or funds transfer via the internet. Please note that there is a 2% surcharge when paying by credit card.

Cancellation policy
Should there be any persons booked into your event who cancel during the event you may request a 50% refund of that person’s accommodation charges. Catering charges are refundable if 48 hours notice prior to event start time is supplied.
Deposits are non-refundable unless an equivalent booking is subsequently confirmed to cover the period of your cancellation.
What about minimum numbers?
When making a half site booking the minimum charge incurred is the equivalent for that of 10 people per day for the duration of our event, even if your numbers drop below 10. Smaller groups are still welcome to book an event at Maitripa Centre but these are the minimum charges. Larger groups of 25 or more may wish to book the entire site. The minimum charge incurred for a whole site booking is the equivalent for that of 25 people per day for the duration your event, even if your numbers drop below 25. Larger groups are welcome to book the whole site even if your numbers are less than 25 people, however these are the minimum charges.
Public holidays & long weekend bookings
Due to the popularity of running events at Maitripa Centre over long weekends, the minimum numbers required for a full site booking are 30 people. You can book with less however you will be charged for 30. Three nights is the minimum stay accepted for a long weekend booking.
Winter bookings
During the winter months from 1st June to the 31st August we relax our minimum numbers requirements a little and are happy to host groups as small as 6 people. The minimum accommodation charge for such a booking will be the equivalent incurred for that of 6 people.

Please be on time
Please ensure that all group participants are aware that Maitripa Centre will not be open for any early arrivals prior to your scheduled arrival time. When would your event finish?

We know that you’re organised, but here’s a few things to remember that will make your stay more enjoyable.

Free promotion for your event
Tell us about your event and provide a photo and we can promote your page on our website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds. You can even give us some quotes or other text that you think might be good for social media.
