One Heart One World Yoga & Meditation Retreats
A retreat gives us the space to receive the extraordinary gifts that are waiting for us in our practice. We will explore practice as a deep, sensing, listening way of being so we can deeply attune to our inner wisdom. From this inner embodied knowing, we can engage with the world with passion, direction and compassion.
Our practice includes yoga postures, mindful movement, sitting and walking meditation, yoga nidra and sound practices, all infused with teachings from the wisdom traditions. There is also a daily talk, guided self-inquiry and contemplation all exploring how we bring our practice into the world, each in our own unique way. We will explore yoga poses as ways of being, rather than forms to achieve and with an emphasis on meditation as the essential heart of yoga. We practise meditation sitting, walking, lying down and in meditative movement, to fully enliven the felt sense of the body and our connection with presence.

Paradoxically, as we rest in the silence of our own being, our inner voice becomes clearer and our deepest life can unfold. Of course we all have times of pain and confusion. This retreat will be a special opportunity to listen deeply to ourselves, just as we are. From this deep listening, our deepest path can emerge. Imagine living a meaningful, fulfilling life, integrating your emotional exploration, with your experiential awakening, with your work in the world. We will use the springboard of deep practice, times of silence and contemplation and the inspiring teachings of yoga and engaged spirituality to renew your direction and help you offer your gift to this world.
What is your love song to the world?
This retreat is ideal for those who have some yoga experience and want to integrate their inner practice with their work in the world. Yoga students, activists, community development workers, social workers, teachers, psychologists – all those who want to create a better world, from all walks of life – are welcome.
Care will be taken to create a supportive environment for your practice. One to one support with Anahata is offered. Practising with like-minded travellers is deeply inspiring for our inner journey. Each participant has their own room and there will be delicious and nourishing catering offered.
Most of the retreat will be held in silence. Silence creates a deep and steady container for your inner journey and is offered as a deeply nourishing foundation for this retreat. Sessions will be guided with words.
The retreats begin 6pm on the first day and finish by 3pm on the last day.
