Meditation Retreat with Aruna Giri

A Meditation Retreat is a wonderful opportunity to quietly look within. When we retreat from the world of our normal everyday lives, the workings of the mind can be more easily seen. Identification with conceptual belief patterns that create stress and tension can be released, revealing a silence and stillness that is full of love and peace, the essence of our being.
Retreats bring together like-minded individuals, creating an energy and community where one’s meditation practice and inquiry into Life can further deepen and become firmly established.
Aruna’s retreats are suitable for both the beginner and the experienced. The retreats are conducted in silence. There are evening talks and discussions, guided instructions and times to ask questions. There is time for having conversations with each other on arrival and during the first and last meals of the retreat. Instructions and guidance in different meditation techniques will be given. These will involve awareness and mindfulness using breath, body sensations, self-enquiry and walking meditation. Aruna will give some talks with discussion and question time. Private one on one interviews will also be offered to help clear any doubts that might arise for participants. There is an optional 90 minute Yoga Asana session each morning.
Aruna has been running Meditation Retreats since 2009.
Weekend Retreats are a great introduction to meditation for beginners and are a convenient way for those experienced in meditation to do some intensive practice.
4 & 5 Day Meditation Retreats
Both 4 and 5 Day Extended Retreats will give the opportunity for participants to do an extended Meditation Retreat in silence. The 4 Day Extended Retreat continues on from the Weekend Retreat, finishing on the Tuesday afternoon. The 5 Day Extended Retreat continues on for an extra 2 days from a long weekend retreat. The daily program is basically the same as the weekend.
Doing a longer retreat with silence allows one to very deeply inquire within. Deep unconscious patterns of mental and emotional past can be met and dissolved with the Light of Awareness. There is enormous potential for inner transformation and healing, and a deep resting into the essence of Life, an eternal peace of moment to moment being.
