Embodied Presence Yoga and Meditation Retreat

A retreat gives us the space to receive the extraordinary gifts that are waiting for us in our practice. We will explore practice as a deep, sensing, listening way of being so we can deeply attune to our inner wisdom. Embracing the felt sense of the body gives us a clear foundation to stand in our own truth. Embracing the insights of our emotions gives us emotional resilience and empowerment. Listening to body, heart and mind enables us to be fully available in our relationships, our work and our lives. Then our practice becomes our way of living – and Life becomes our practice.
We will explore a range of practices including yoga asana, mindful movement, sitting and walking meditation, yoga nidra and sound practices, all infused with teachings from the wisdom traditions. We will explore yoga poses as ways of being, rather than forms to achieve. Experienced yogis will find their practice enlivened as we explore deep alignment principles, human movement patterns and the somatic intelligence of our bodies. We will explore meditation sitting, walking, lying down and in meditative movement, to fully enliven the felt sense of the body. The wisdom teachings from the hatha yoga, bhakti and non-dual traditions will give a context for our practice, and will be skilfully applied to our contemporary living.
